Management of Assaultive Behavior AB-508

Nurses and Healthcare providers that can talk people out of an assaultive behavior are the most valuable in the healthcare industry. Persons who work in the healthcare environment, especially emergency room and psychiatric department personnel, are at risk for assaultive events. This type of training is required by law for certain departments or professions per safety code Title 22, 1257.7, 1257.8, AB508 and SB1299.

The main goal of our MAB course is not to handle emotionally-charged situations in a physical or defensive manner, but rather equip the student with the proper tools of logic to de-escalate violent behavior and prevent assaults. However, if the need arises this course will also prepare the student with methods on how to handle oneself in situations that demand strength over logic.

With NEO’s MAB course you will come to understand that no matter how small you are in size, you can still protect yourself and others from potential injury.
